Reading
I have many fond memories from reading fantastic books in my youth. As an adult, and as life happened, I found myself reading less and less. However, I never lost the longing for reading a book that captivated me and made it difficult to put down. I still have a collection of books from my childhood that include 40 or so CYOA and solo rpg type books.
Writing
As a kid, I wrote books and shared them with friends. With a heavy emphasis on "choose your path" and game books, I found tremendous enjoyment in creating stories that my friends found entertaining. I even attempted to get one of my books published, but without any idea of what to do, the result was disastrous. It's time to start writing again! And this time I won't send a handwritten book into a publisher with the hopes of getting a contract in the mail.
